Africa Museum

The Africa Museum is located 30 km from our hotel, in Balatonederics, on the northern shore of Lake Balaton, which is accessible by road 71.

Hunter and zoologist Endre Nagy, who lived in Tanzania for decades, moved back to Hungary in 1984 to his villa in Balatonederics, where he founded the museum from his own collection. In the house there is an exhibition, in Endre Nagy's former study room you will find personal belongings, a desk, books and many interesting African trinkets. Other rooms and corridors are lined with trophies, furs, lions, wild boars, antelopes, leopards, rhinoceros, elephants to name just the most spectacular.

There is also a small safari park on the estate, you can even sit on a camel, but there are zebras, ostriches, antelopes and buffaloes. Of course you can ride a pony.
