Kányavár Island - Trail of the Greedy Grebe

Kányavár Island - Trail of the Greedy Grebe

This is accessible from the road section between Zalavár and Balatonmagyaród.

Walking through a wooden bridge, we reach the most popular hiking destination in the area. In addition to the nearly two hundred and fifty species of birds, many rare species of fauna and flora are sheltered here. The nearly two-kilometer-long trail can be visited all year round, taking approimately 1-1.5 hours. Dogs are allowed only on a leash. The 15 stations of the hiking trail are dedicated to the presentation of the birdlife of the Little Balaton.
